As the owner of 3 Golden Girls boxsets and their Lifetime Intimate Portraits on DVD and as someone who has watched episodes of Golden Girls everynight this week (for serious) I was truly bummed to hear of Bea Arthur's passing today.

I used to watch Golden Girls as a kid. And as a kid I believed to be fact that Dorothy Szbornak was a man.
It wasn't until I was a teenager that I learned that Dorothy Szbornak was indeed played by a woman.
